Ever since I stepped into that shiny Mercedes showroom in Loughton on a spontaneous Wednesday afternoon, NOTHING has been the same. Raphael and I spent a couple of hours looking at the potential "Mummy's new car" and he instantly fell in love with the three pointed star emblem.
Although I did not leave the showroom with a brand new car on the day, Raphael was sure to bring the memory of the emblem everywhere we went;
Walking through the supermarket car park, he would point and shout MERCEDES, walking along the high street "MERCEDES!". Driving along the M25 he would continuously point out a Mercedes.
I currently drive a Vauxhall, it was quite clear to see that Raphael had no interest in my car whatsoever as he never pointed out any Vauxhalls with enthusiasm. Actually he never pointed them out at all. Until he realised that there are many vauxhalls on the roads too, he then asked me the question I've been longing to hear; " Mummy, what's your car called?"
The Mercedes obsession had began to die down, introducing the Car Obsession.
Raphael recently spent the afternoon with his uncle, and let's just say after their stroll to the high street my brother was left in awe after all the cars Raph had mentioned along the way.
Cue the impromptu #NameThatCarChallenge
