You Gotta Start Somewhere

Hey, remember me? I know it's been a mighty long time since we last met, but Lord knows I have been the busiest I have ever been in my life, but that's no excuse to neglect my trusty readers. I've decided that im going to open my doors and let you in to the REAL journey to fitness; My sweaty workouts, my meal preps, new diets, the school run, uni assignments, decorating my new house, matchdays with Arsenal, home workouts, the odd occasion I get to hit the gym,the whole lot.

This is a single mother on a mission to get fit! Although I have enough responsibilities on my plate I believe anything is possible with a bit of willpower, dedication and support (that's where you come in)

So here's to the new year, the new blog and the new me- the new me will hopefully arrive in July looking like the real life Lara Croft-

It has been six weeks since I've had a healthy meal and a whole 3 weeks since I hit the gym, so I'm practically starting all over again. Yikes! Wish me luck. Starting back is always the hardest part, but hey, there's no time like the present, I've been sat in this hair salon for approximately 2 hours without being seen to yet, (oh the joys) so naturally I'm bored and starting to think about food as it hits lunchtime, surrounded by countless chicken and chip shops options are few.. I NEED SOMETHING HEALTHY NOW!! THIS FAST FOOD HIGH STREET WILL NOT DEFEAT ME.

So I've walked into the local cafe, it's full of local workers stuffing their face with a full English, yum! Or re-fuelling with a tall cup of caffeine. The man behind the counter grabs my attention with a "how can I help?" Im looking at the counter full of sweet goodies and lasagnes and I think to myself, I don't think you can help me. Nevertheless I ask him to put together the healthiest meal possible. He suggested a jacket potato. Real creative. "No thanks, any salads?" realising I was going to be a difficult customer, he told me to take a seat and he would sort me out.

The result; Grilled chicken accompanied with Mediterranean salad. It was amazing, packed with so much flavour and pretty colours lol. Well worth a fiver, UP YOURS KFC.

To wash it down a nice cup of Green tea with honey

Belly is full and I'm more than satisfied, but now I'm back in the hair salon, finally sat in the seat as I write this. Probably going to be here for another 4 hours.
