I'm not organised, I'm prepared.

I had a personal trainer last year that asked me to keep a food diary for her to analyse and give feedback on my eating habits. But this wasn't any ordinary food diary, it only included entries for days Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I said "what's the point of that then? You're missing out on all the clean eating that I do thoughout the week" I remember her giving me that smirk to say "precisely!"

You Gotta Start Somewhere

Hey, remember me? I know it's been a mighty long time since we last met, but Lord knows I have been the busiest I have ever been in my life, but that's no excuse to neglect my trusty readers. I've decided that im going to open my doors and let you in to the REAL journey to fitness; My sweaty workouts, my meal preps, new diets, the school run, uni assignments, decorating my new house, matchdays with Arsenal, home workouts, the odd occasion I get to hit the gym,the whole lot.

Summer Smoothies, Cramping Cardio and Yawning Yoga

What a way to start the weekend. I woke up and decided to make a fruity smoothie. I added frozen blackforest fruits, Hazelnut milk, water and half a scoop of my strawberry flavoured protein powder. What do you add to your fruity smoothies?

Now my lunch was all types of amazing, I'm still thinking about the taste of it right now. SO AMAZING. Grilled honey glazed salmon (Yes I'm getting trigger happy with this honey) With iceberg lettuce, olives, feta cheese drizzled with balsamic vinegar.. drool with me. So good and so filling that I didn't even have a dinner.

Off To A Good Start

Well this morning got off to a good start, possibly the best breakfast I've had in a long time. I scooped some Alpro Vanilla yoghurt into a desert jar, layered it with oats and raisins, added another layer of vanilla yoghurt then topped it off with blueberries and a drizzle of honey. DELICIOUS! surprisingly filling as well. I also woke up to a large glass of water and a Green tea. I always wake up extremely dehydrated so it was just what I needed.

I didn't actually eat much today as I was quite busy with the daily chores and errands, however I did have a couple bananas here and there.

I rustled up a quick lunch in the early afternoon. Avocado spread on wholemeal bread, topped with grilled halloumi cheese, So quick and simple. It wasn't amazing, I imagined it on toasted wholemeal with a mild salsa, I may try that tomorrow actually. Yummy.

Now for dinner, nothing fancy but oh so scrumptious. Honey Glazed grilled chicken, avocado on a bed of spinach, broccoli and brown rice. Ugh, you just had to be there, you just had to taste it, honey glazed! Mmmmm.

Well thats day 1 over, it all happened so quickly, and I'm quite proud of myself if I do say so myself.
How did you guys eat today? Any suggestions for an exciting healthy meal.. do tell.

Signing out with a cuppa Slimatea, I'll let you know how this detox goes.
